Young Enterprise North East is a local charity that works with young people from the age of four up to university age, delivering a range of inspiring programmes that introduce them to the idea of being an entrepreneur, and inspiring young business minds straight from the horse's mouth - through volunteers from our business community.

Our Primary Programme introduces the world of business to young children, and our Company Programme uses business mentors to support secondary age children set up a real trading company for a year. In addition we run a Team Programme for special needs students to run their own business, and a range of enterprise master-classes and sector-specific programmes across the region, all facilitated by volunteers from the real world of local commerce.

Our One Day… campaign asks you to give up just that - one day of your time, investment or resources to help inspire the future generation of entrepreneurs and enterprising employees.

Whether it is One Day… of your profits, One Day… of your staff's time to volunteer in a school or One Day… for a school to visit your workplace, by doing whatever you can, you can help a young person reach their true potential.

Our aim is to see schools and businesses working together to promote enterprise as an achievable career path for all young people, whatever their background.
